Jointly Harvest Privacy Policy

Jointly Harvest is a trading name of Jointly.Shop Pty Ltd as trustee for BWM Unit Trust (ABN 28 529 732 747) (“we”, “us”). We run a local food system on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, at jointly.shop. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, mobile number, address and postcode.
- Order and account details: your orders, pickup hub, and payment status. Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We don’t store your card number.
- Your answers: things you tell us in forms, for example how you shop for produce or how many people you buy for.
- Messages: emails, texts and calls you send us.
How we collect it
- When you fill in a form on our website or a Facebook/Instagram lead form.
- When you order, sign up as a member or hub host, or contact us.
- From Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when you submit one of our lead forms. Meta’s own use of your data is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and tell you about Jointly Harvest.
- To process orders and arrange hub pickup.
- To send you updates, offers and our newsletter by email and SMS, where you’ve agreed to receive them.
- To improve what we grow, source and offer.
Email and SMS
We only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. Each message identifies Jointly Harvest and tells you how to opt out:
- SMS: reply STOP at any time.
- Email: click unsubscribe in any email.
You can also ask us directly to stop contacting you (details below). We’ll act on it within 5 business days.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run Jointly Harvest, such as:
- our CRM, email and SMS providers
- our payment processor
- our website host
We share it with no one else, except where the law requires us to. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Names and mobile numbers held in our own systems are encrypted, and are only decrypted when we need to use them, for example to process an order or send you a message. We delete or de-identify your information when we no longer need it.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. Contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, contact us first. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
